WHEN DOES CRITICAL THINKING WORK AT IT'S BEST ?

WHEN WE ARE FACED WITH UNUSUAL SITUATIONS IRRESPECTIVE OF IT BEING GOOD OR BAD.

As we grow up from a toddler to a teenager we are influenced by many people. Their views and ideas do make us act in ways that shape our present and our future. In India the children are introduced to a very moralistic view set by society .We are often compelled to live our lives in black or white.

eg: if I don't do it right I am an unworthy person.

We are conditioned to wear mental filters making us vunerrable to failing. While we tend to focuses mainly on our failures or incapabilities , we don't solve the problem /situation without jumping into conclusions.All of which makes us unable to identify new possibilities.

Critical thinking is a skill that helps us to see things with a positive conclusion.

Self monitoring our thoughts in a regular basis will help us achieve our goals.

As an educator we have a responsibility towards the youth to accept their intellectual standards in thinking and encourage clear goals by giving them relevant and logical information to choose or accept.

One important difference that makes you a critical thinker is your ability to embrace failure and then restart with a new josh!!(vigour).
