What you need is just a ear!!
We have always heard this phrase from our welwishers. In this trying times when all of us are cooped up in our homes and fearing that our loved ones are not safe , we are eager to share our thoughts and hear something more positive.
Listening to self and others is the most important advice I give to all my clients, friends and family .
I have observed that 'the way we fail to listen is symbolic of the way we live our lives.'
We often treat communication to be very important or there is an absence of it totally.
As I called my friends today on a video call. Looking at their smiles made my soul feel a sense of belonging. The smiles and the chatter that was mostly one over the other nearly making it inaudible. Video calling them and hearing my besties in these times was encouraging enough .
Isn't this what we look forward to, when all the communications are restricted to instructions and caution. A friend or a group that eagerly listens ,is still inspiring even though not really listening due to the overlapping of excited chatter . But we all felt that we were heard and understood.I can confidently say that , this was something I never understood but always experienced that a strong bond of friendship is that which comes with an unquestionable quality of being a "GOOD LISTENER".
